Washed patina on crust leather
Washed patina on crust leather.
We apply Italian dye colours by hand on a special leather called crust leather.
After the dye has dried we can make the final step which is called finishing.
This part of the process gives a nice soft touch and natural shine.
For finishing we use Italian creams applied by hand followed by brushing with natural Carnauba wax.
In this case we have made a washed patina effect on the leather, before applying the creams.
The washed patina effect is achieved by rubbing the leather gently with a cloth that has been lightly dipped in alcohol.
Washed patina effect can be made on leather for shoes and leather goods.
